Voice Reply Assistant ("we", "our", or "us") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our Chrome extension and services.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Automatically Collected Information

• Device Identifier: A unique anonymous ID generated locally in your browser to track your usage quota and subscription status.
• Usage Data: Number of AI replies generated per month to enforce free tier limits.
• Tweet Content: The text of tweets you choose to reply to is sent to our servers temporarily to generate reply suggestions. This data is not stored after processing.

1.2 Information You Provide

• Email Address: Collected during subscription checkout or account restoration for billing and communication purposes.
• User Context: Optional information you provide about yourself (e.g., your role, expertise, audience) to personalize AI-generated replies. This is stored locally in your browser and sent with each request.
• Payment Information: Processed securely by our payment provider, Paddle. We do not store credit card details.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the collected information to:

• Generate personalized AI reply suggestions based on tweet content and your optional context.
• Track usage quota for free and paid tiers.
• Process subscription payments and manage billing.
• Send transactional emails (payment confirmations, subscription updates, account restoration links).
• Improve our service quality and fix technical issues.

We do not:

• Sell your data to third parties.
• Use your data for advertising.
• Store tweet content after generating replies.
• Track your browsing activity outside of X.com reply generation.

3. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored securely using industry-standard encryption:

• Database: Hosted on Supabase (PostgreSQL) with encrypted connections.
• Backend: Hosted on Render with HTTPS encryption.
• Payment Processing: Handled by Paddle, a PCI-DSS compliant payment provider.

We implement reasonable security measures to protect your data from unauthorized access, alteration, or destruction. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.

4. Third-Party Services

We integrate with the following third-party services:

4.1 Groq (AI Processing)

Tweet text and your optional user context are sent to Groq's API to generate reply suggestions using Llama 3.1 language models. Groq's privacy policy applies to this processing. Data is not stored by Groq after generating responses.

4.2 Paddle (Payment Processing)

Subscription payments are processed through Paddle. When you subscribe, your email and payment information are handled by Paddle. We receive only your email address and subscription status from Paddle. See Paddle's Privacy Policy.

4.3 Supabase (Database)

User data (device IDs, email addresses, usage counts, subscription status) is stored in a Supabase-hosted PostgreSQL database. See Supabase's Privacy Policy.

5. Data Retention

• Active Users: Your account data is retained as long as you use our service.
• Inactive Users: Free tier accounts with no activity for 12 months may be deleted.
• Tweet Content: Not stored. Processed in real-time and discarded immediately after reply generation.
• Canceled Subscriptions: Subscription history is retained for accounting purposes but can be deleted upon request.

6. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access: Request a copy of your data.
• Correction: Update incorrect information via the extension popup or by contacting us.
• Deletion: Request deletion of your account and associated data.
• Opt-out: Unsubscribe from marketing emails (transactional emails related to billing cannot be opted out).

7. Children's Privacy

Our service is not intended for users under 13 years old. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe we have collected data from a child, please contact us immediately.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

9. International Users

Our services are operated from the United States. If you are accessing from the EU, UK, or other regions with data protection laws, your data may be transferred to and processed in the U.S. By using our service, you consent to this transfer.
